Acute guttate psoriasis on the skin of a 22 year old man. Psoriasis is a non-contagious inflammatory skin disease. With acute guttate psoriasis the rash develops quickly, covering the skin with multiple small areas of psoriasis, usually affecting the whole body. This disease mostly affects children and young adults, often following a streptococcal throat infection, an immunisation, or a physical or psychological trauma.
