Fracture of the clavicle. Coloured X-ray image showing a fractured clavicle (centre left), also known as collarbone, the bone that articulates the sternum and the scapula (shoulder blade). It is treated by immobilising the shoulder and arm with a clavicle strap or a figure-of-eight wrap between the shoulders and over the back. Healing usually takes three weeks to complete.
