Caption: This sagittal (from the side) T1 weighted MRI image of the thoracic spine shows areas of low signal intensity (look dark) in multiple thoracic vertebral bodies, which represent metastatic lesions from a primary lung cancer. There are no significant pathologic compressions of these vertebral bodies, and there is no extension of tumor into the spinal canal. The thoracic spinal cord has a normal appearance.
