Caption: Illustration of the main areas in the back of the body that are associated with Fibromyalgia, a musculoskeletal pain a fatigue disorder for which the cause is still unknown. Fibromyalgia is pain in the muscles, tendons, ligaments, and soft fibrous tissues of the body. There is increasing evidence that the pain may be directly related to imbalance, or disorder of the nervous system. The nerve tissue here consists of bi-polar neurons of the spinal column. There is a test that is given to patients who think that they may have this condition. A positive test result involves having pain in 11 of the 18 specified areas, the back view of which are shown here.
