Caption: MODEL RELEASED. Heart surgery. Surgical team look at X-ray monitors to follow the progress of the catheter they are inserting into the patient's blood vessels to reach the heart. This will allow them to treat coronary artery disease by reducing blockages in the arteries of the heart. Reduced blood supply to the heart causes the intense pain of angina pectoris and can cause heart attacks. Photographed at Christ Hospital, Cincinnati, USA.
