Caption: Capper flowers (Capparis spinosa). The root bark of this plant is diuretic, depurative and tonic. It is used in the treatments of diarrhoea, gout, rheumatism and skin conditions such as capillary weakness and bruising. The unopened flower buds are used to treat coughs and eye infections. The buds are also harvested before they flower and pickled.
