Caption: Eczema treatment. Young girl having cream applied to her body by her mother. She has bandages covering the cream, which is applied to treat contact dermatitis, a form of eczema. The eczema may have no known cause, but can be a reaction to the toxic effect of a substance or due to an allergic reaction. Diprobase cream (bottom right corner) is being used as a base to carry other medications (tubes at lower centre). It soothes and moistens the dried skin in the area of the rash. The other medications could include anti-inflammatory or corticosteriod drugs, which relive the symptoms of eczema.
