Caption: Blisters on the arm of a 47-year-old woman 5 days after treatment for solar keratoses. Solar keratoses are pre-cancerous skin growths caused by sun damage. It is important to remove the growths as they can develop into skin cancer. These keratoses have been treated with liquid nitrogen, which freezes the tissue, killing it and causing the formation of these blisters. New keratoses often appear at or near the site of a previous keratosis, therefore regular check-ups are needed.
