Caption: Oxygen therapy. View of a premature baby in a hospital incubator. The baby's head is in a dome into which oxygen-enriched air is being supplied through a green tube. The extra oxygen is necessary as the baby was born three months premature and consequently many of its organs, including its lungs, are immature. The baby is also at increased risk of infection because its immune system is not fully developed. Consequently sterile conditions are maintained in the incubator. Humidity and temperature are also kept at ideal levels. Photographed in Iran.
