Caption: Neonatal jaundice, seen in a 4 day old baby boy. Jaundice is a condition in which the skin and eyes are discoloured due to the deposition of excess bilirubin (pigment) in skin tissues. Treatment is with light therapy using blue light, which breaks down the pigment and allows it to be excreted in faeces and urine.
