Caption: Fallopian tube node. Endoscope view of a node (lower right) on a Fallopian tube (pink, running down right). A node is a small swelling or knot of tissue. There are two Fallopian tubes in a woman's abdomen. They each lead from the uterus (not seen) to the vicinity of their respective ovaries. They transport, to the uterus, the single egg (ovum, female reproductive cell) that is released by one of the ovaries in the monthly ovulation cycle.
