Caption: Photograph of the skeleton of the right human elbow (cubital) joint, viewed in anterior aspect. The elbow is of the compound synovial joint type, that is, it has two articulations. One is between the trochlea of the humerus (top, the single bone of the upper arm) and the trochlear notch of the ulna (right); the other is between the capitulum of the humerus and the the facet on top of the radius. In addition, the radius and ulna are connected at both upper and lower ends by synovial joints.
