Caption: Fingers forming "O". X-ray of a hand with the thumb and forefinger forming a circle or "O" shape. This hand signal can mean "yes" or "OK". A thumb which opposes the other fingers is found only in primates including humans, and it gives the hand precise and delicate movement. At lower right are the bones of the forearm: the radius (left) and the ulna (right). The wrist is made up of the carpal bones, with the palm being formed by the metacarpal bones. The fingers are made up of three phalanges bones each, but the thumb is formed of only two.
