Caption: colour enhanced MRI (magnetic resonance imaging) of a normal should. MRI is the best and least invasive method to evaluate the Rotator Cuff of the shoulder. The rotator cuff is made up of 4 muscles and their tendons. They are the supraspinatus, infraspinatus, subscapularis and tere minor. The tendon of the intact supraspinatus muscle is colourized blue in this image. It inserts on the greater tuberosity of the humeral head. This image also shows bony spurs along the margin of the glenoid.
