Mesenteric arteries. Coloured angiogram (X-ray) of the branching superior mesenteric arteries which supply the intestines with blood. A catheter is seen running along an artery from bottom left to top centre. The pelvis (bottom left & right) and the spine (down centre) are also seen. In angiography, a radio-opaque dye is injected into an artery before an X-ray is taken.
