Caption: A mutant flower of Brassica campestris, the turnip plant. This plant was treated at the seed stage with a chemical mutagen. The picture shows the half white flower resulting from the mutation of genes in the pigment production pathway. Half the flower & the remaining flowers on the plant are the normal yellow colour.
