Caption: Morning glory. View of a trumpet-shaped flower of the Morning glory Ipomoea purpurea (family: Convolvulaceae). Otherwise known as "Convolvulus major", this tropical American plant has purple flowers borne singly or in small clusters from the axils of leaves. Flower colour fades with age. The plant is a vigorous climber, reaching a height of 3 metres or more. Photographed in Venezuela.
