Caption: An image of the brain made using brain electrical activity mapping (BEAM), a development of evoked potential measurement using electroencephalography (EEG), and applying a technique called significance probability mapping (SPM) to produce a colour map of the brain which models the minute alterations of electrical activity-In fact the final image is a map of statistical variance from the make-up of a normal brain. The data is provided by EEG measurement in response to various stimuli (evoked potential measurement). In this image the theta frequency of the brain is being measured, showing no abnormalities.
