Caption: Teasel flower. (1st of 4 images). Close-up of a teasel (Dipsacus fullonum) about to come into flower. The teasel is a tall plant which inhabits bare or grassy land. The small individual flowers grow from a large egg-shaped head. The teasel flowers in the Summer, from July to August. See photos B760/343-346 for sequence of flower development.
