Caption: False-colour scintigram (posterior view) of a normal human spleen - the yellow, red & white feature at left. The liver appears green to the right. The scintigram (gamma camera scan) was obtained following the intravenous injection of neutrophils (white blood cells) marked with the radio-isotope Indium-111, which become concentrated in the spleen. The scan is of a rear (posterior) view of the subject, which accounts for the fact that the spleen appears to the left.
