Caption: Body imaging for fashion design. Sensors are fixed to a woman's body so that it can be mapped by a computer scanner and recreated digitally. This formed part study carried out in 2003-2004 by L'Institut Francais du Textile et de l'Habillement (the French Institute of Textiles and Clothing). The aim was to assess the size and shape of a representative sample of the French population.
