Body imaging for fashion design. Researcher measuring a woman's head. Her head measurements and those of her body (mapped using a computer scanner) were used to recreate a 3D digital image of the woman. This formed part of a study carried out in 2003-2004 by L'Institut Francais du Textile et de l'Habillement (the French Institute of Textiles and Clothing). The aim was to assess the size and shape of a representative sample of the French population.
