Caption: Hubble Space Telescope. The vast Hubble Space Telescope (HST) seen shortly before deployment from Shuttle Endeavour at the end of the first HST servicing mission, STS-61. In a series of five spacewalks, the crew of the Shuttle replaced one of the HST's cameras and its solar panels, installed a corrective optics package and completed many other servicing tasks. Mission STS- 61 flew on 2-13 December 1993.
