Caption: Servicing the Hubble Space Telescope. The vast Hubble Space Telescope (HST) seen in the cargo bay of Shuttle Endeavour at the end of the last spacewalk during the servicing mission, STS-61. Astronauts Story Musgrave and Jeffrey Hoffman are seen at the end of the Remote Manipulator System (RMS) arm at top right. In a series of five spacewalks, the crew of the Shuttle replaced one of the HST's cameras and its solar panels, installed a corrective optics package and completed many other servicing tasks. The backdrop to this image is the coast of Western Australia. Mission STS-61 flew on 2-13 December 1993.
