Caption: Cassini spacecraft. Fully-completed Cassini space- craft, designed to explore Saturn, during a final round of systems checks. The detachable Huygens probe (at centre) is mounted on the side of Cassini. Cassini's radio antenna (white, at upper centre) is also seen. Cassini will orbit Saturn for four years, and will study the planet, its rings, and its moons. Once released from Cassini, Huygens will enter the atmosphere of the moon Titan and carry instruments down to its surface. Photographed at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory facility in Pasadena, USA, during February 1997. Cassini is due to be launched in October 1997 and is expected to reach Saturn in July 2004.
