Caption: Voyager 2 launch. Voyager 2 spacecraft launching on top of a Titan-Centaur rocket at Kennedy Space Centre, Florida, USA, on 20 August 1977. This unmanned spacecraft was the first to travel to Uranus (1985) and Neptune (1989). Voyager 2 also flew past Jupiter (1979) and Saturn (1980/81). It returned pictures of all four planets, their moons and ring systems. Voyager 2 continues to send back data as it now heads into interstellar space.
