Caption: Meteorite recovered from the Elephant Moraine region of Antarctica by US scientists in 1979. This 15-lb. rock is a shergottite which may have originated as debris from another meteor impact on Mars. The rock is mainly basaltic, and is approximately 1,300 million years old.
