Caption: Flower of Lady's Mantle. Coloured scanning electron micrograph of the centre of a flower of a Lady's Mantle (Alchemilla vulgaris). In this image, the pollen-producing anthers are seen as brown, the sepal as yellow-green and the epicalyx as dark green. A. vulgaris is part of the rose family of perennial plants. The flowers, typically 3mm to 5mm in diameter, are found in loose clusters at the top of the plant. Magnification x100 at 6x4.5cm size.
