Caption: Stereomicroscope photograph of a flower of Herb Robert, Geranium robertianum. The flower has ten anthers in two concentric sets of five. The central anthers mature first and in this photograph they can be seen releasing their pollen around the pink stigma. Subsequently they die back and the second set (the orange structures adjacent to the petals) mature and dehisce. Herb Robert is a common wildflower of shady hedges, woods and walls. Magnification: x2.1 at 35mm size.
