Fifth in a series of 6 artist's impressions illustrating the formation of a new star, such as the Sun. There comes a time in the condensation of the protostar when the pressure at its centre is great enough to generate the temperatures necessary to star the fusion of hydrogen atoms into helium. At this point, the onset of hydrogen "burning", there is a fierce explosion & the gases in the outer shell of the star & around it are blown away into space. This is known as a T Tauri explosion.
