Caption: Pollination. Macrophotograph of a honey bee (Apis sp.) landing on a flower during pollination. The pollen baskets on its legs contain pollen collected from flowers it has visited. Pollen grains are the male sex cells of a flowering plant. When the bee flies to another flower of the same species to continue feeding, some of this pollen is shed onto the female parts of the second flower, fertilising them. Most flowering plants have flowers to attract insect pollinators. Magnification unknown.
