Caption: False colour radio image of Sagittarius A (Sgr A), the centre of our Galaxy, at a wavelength of 6 cm taken with the Very Large Array (VLA) radio telescope, New Mexico. This image shows the ionized gas within 10 light years of the centre of the Galaxy. Emission from sources other than the ionized gas (the non-thermal component) has been subtracted. The field of view of the image is 3x3 arcmin with a resolution of 1 arcsec. Observers; Kwok-Yung Lo & Mark J. Claussen. Taken during 1982, B & C configuration, 27 antennae. This picture may not be used to state or imply the endorsement by NRAO, AUI or NSF of any company or product.
