Caption: Optical photograph of M32, one of the two dwarf elliptical galaxies which orbit M31, the Andromeda Galaxy. M32 has a diameter of 2,400 light years and lies about 2 million light years away in the constellation of Andromeda. The photograph was taken with the four-metre Mayall telescope at Kitt Peak National Observatory in Arizona.
