Caption: Antlia dwarf galaxy. Optical image of the Antlia dwarf galaxy, a member of the Local Group of galaxies discovered in 1997. The galaxy is small and dominated by old stars, and has a spheroidal shape. The brightest objects here are foreground stars. This image was made with the Very Large Telescope 'Antu' at the Cerro Paranal Observatory, Chile.
