Caption: Worlds within worlds. Artwork showing how everything in the Universe contains smaller objects. This is represented as a series of successively smaller boxes, in which each box can fit inside the previous one. A red square on each box shows the area which contains the object represented by the next box in the sequence. From largest to smallest, the boxes represent: a galaxy; the solar system; the Earth; a city; a human; a human cell; viruses invading that cell; an atom; a proton. The three particles (quarks) that make up a proton are seen escaping from this last box.
