Caption: History of rocket launchers. View of a variety of launchers in the Rocket Park of the Kennedy Space Center, Florida. The rockets standing upright are (left to right): Redstone (early satellites and Mercury flights); Thor Delta (early satellites); Atlas-Agena (satellites, Atlas used for later Mercury missions); and a Titan II with a Gemini capsule. Lying down in the background is a Saturn IB, used for Earth-orbiting Apollo and Skylab flights. The squat, angular object between the Atlas and Titan is a Lunar Module, as used in the Apollo moon programme.
