Launch pad 40 , seen here in the centre of image, is used to launch military, weather and non- commercial satellites. Cape Canaveral is also used by NASA for Space Shuttle and other space vehicle launches. This image was taken by the Ikonos satellite, the first commercial satellite to collect data at one- metre resolution. Image taken on 3 June 2002.
