Caption: Hubble Space Telescope mission control. An engineer checking flight telemetry data from the Hubble Space Telescope. These computer screens are in the Mission Operations Room (MOR) at NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center, Maryland. The MOR is used to monitor and control all activities relating to the orbiting telescope, including observations and pointing, general engineering and orbit control. The health of the HST is constantly monitored to ensure as much observing time as possible. Computers on the HST may even be reprogrammed from the MOR. During servicing by the Space Shuttle, the MOR is linked directly to Shuttle Mission control in Houston, Texas.
