Caption: Russian space mission control centre. Large display screens and computer workstations at Russia's control centre for space missions. The main display shows the orbits of satellites and spacecraft on a map of the Earth. Various images of spacecraft and the International Space Station (ISS) are seen on either side. This control centre is located in the Korolev suburb of Moscow, Russia, though many launches take place from the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazahkstan. The suburb is named after Sergei Korolev (1907-1966), the Soviet's chief rocket and spacecraft engineer. Photographed on 10 February 2006.
