Caption: Lunar command module. The command module America, orbiting the Moon during the Apollo 17 mission of 1972 (7-19 December). Apollo 17 was the last manned mission to the Moon. This photograph was taken by Harrison Schmitt aboard the lunar landing module (Challenger) as it returned to the command module following its 75-hour mission. The area known as The Sea of Fertility is seen lower right (dark patch).
