Caption: STS-122 mission crew during a launch rehearsal at the Kennedy Space Center, Florida, USA. From left: Rex Walheim, Leland Melvin, Steve Frick, Alan Poindexter, Leopold Eyharts, Stanley Love, and Hans Schlegel. They are on a gantry near the top of the space shuttle Atlantis and its external fuel tank (orange, upper left). The STS-122 mission was to install the Columbus laboratory onto the International Space Station (ISS). The crew are all wearing orange Advanced Crew Escape Suits (ACES) which was a full pressure suit worn during take-off and landing. Atlantis launched on 7th February 2008 and returned to Earth on 20th February 2008. Photographed on 21st November 2007.
