Caption: Launch of Space Shuttle Challenger (Mission 51-F, STS-19) from the Kennedy Space Centre, Florida. The mission lasted from the 29th July to 6th August 1985. Onboard was the European Spacelab 2, which operates from the payload bay of the orbiter Challenger. Spacelab is a space laboratory operating a range of scientific experiments including solar physics, atmospheric physics, plasma physics, infrared astronomy, technology research & life sciences.
