Return to Flight launch on 26th July 2005. Return to Flight, space shuttle mission STS-114, was the first launch of a space shuttle since Columbia was destroyed on re-entry on 1st February 2003. During STS-114, space shuttle Discovery will dock with the International Space Station, and also test the various safety devices that have been added to the shuttle in the wake of the Columbia disaster. These include a long robotic arm to inspect the heat shield. STS-114 is planned to return to Earth on 7th August 2005.
