Caption: Dutch astronaut & scientist Wubbo J. Ockels in a unique "sleeping restraint" (space bed) inside the European Space Agency's Spacelab on board the space shuttle Challenger. The photo was taken during shuttle mission 61-A from October 30 to November 6, 1985. The other crew members slept in the shuttle's mid-deck area but Ockels tested the new space bed, which he had proposed, in Spacelab's science module.
