Caption: STS-47 in-flight crew portrait. The crew of Shuttle Endeavour pose for a photo inside the Spacelab-J module. The crew members are: (back row l-r) Robert Gibson, mission commander, and Curtis Brown, pilot; (middle row l-r) Jan Davis, Jerome "Jay" Apt and Mae Jemison, all mission specialists; (front row l-r) Mark Lee, payload commander, and Mamoru Mohri, payload specialist from Japan's space agency NASDA. Spacelab-J was a joint US/Japan project, the module being carried in Endeavour's cargo bay. STS-47 was launched on 12 September 1992, and returned on 20 September 1992.
