Caption: Mir core module. American and Russian astronauts work amidst a maze of wires and hardware inside the core module of the Mir space station. The Russian cosmonauts are wearing light blue. From left to right the astronauts are Yuriy P. Gidzenko, Kenneth D. Cameron, Sergei V. Avdeyev and William S. McArthur Jr. The American astronauts are from the Space Shuttle Atlantis which docked with Mir between 15 November and 18 November 1995 as part of Mission STS-74. During the docking, Atlantis delivered a docking module and other logistical supplies. The delivered module will aid further dockings between shuttles and Mir.
