The ISS consists of the Zvezda Service Module (centre left), the Zarya or Functional Cargo Block (FGB, centre right) and the Unity node (far right). A Soyuz spacecraft (black, far left) is docked to Zvezda. During Endeavour's mission (STS-97, 30 November to 11 December 2000), the ISS's 73-metre solar arrays were attached and unfolded. The ISS is a joint effort between NASA, the European Space Agency, the Russian space agency, Canada, Japan and Brazil. The space station has been manned since late 2000. Photographed on December 2.
