Caption: ISS space walk. Astronaut Chris Hadfield standing on a Portable Foot Restraint (PFR) outside the International Space Station (ISS). He is working to install the Canadian-built Space Station Remote Manipulator System (SSRMS). This robotic arm is also called Canadarm2. Hadfield represented the Canadian Space Agency (CSA) in the first space walk by a Canadian astronaut. The Space Shuttle Endeavour flew this mission (STS-100, 19 April-1 May 2001). The ISS is a joint effort between NASA, the European Space Agency, the Russian space agency, Canada, Japan and Brazil. It orbits at an altitude of 350 kilometres, has been manned since late 2000 and is scheduled for completion in 2004.
