Caption: International Space Station (ISS), seen in August 2007, against the Earth, from the Space Shuttle Endeavour after undocking took place towards the end of the Shuttle's mission to the ISS. This was mission STS-118 (8th to 21st August 2007), which continued the construction and maintenance of the ISS. The ISS, which has been under construction since 1998, has been manned since 2000, and is scheduled for completion in 2017. It consists of several research and habitation modules, along with solar panels to supply power. The ISS orbits the Earth at an altitude of around 350 kilometres. Photographed on 19th August 2007.
