Land includes the heel of Italy (lower left) and Greece (across top). This image was obtained from the Space Shuttle Endeavour after it undocked from the ISS. The Shuttle's Orbiter Boom Sensor System (OBSS) is partially seen at top left. The ISS, which has been under construction since 1998, has been manned since 2000, and is scheduled for completion in 2017. It consists of several research and habitation modules, and solar panels. The ISS orbits the Earth at an altitude of around 350 kilometres. Photographed on 19th August 2007, during mission STS-118 (8th to 21st August 2007).
